The second event of the ISU Junior Grand Prix saw one GBR competitor taking to the stage. Anastasia Vaipan-Law, a Dundee based skater was the only GBR athlete skating in Linz, Austria. Beginning her competition on her 19th Birthday, and skating to Libertango by Astor Piazzolla Anastasia’s event got off to a celebratory start finishing in 16th position after the Short Programme.
Skating her Free Programme to the theme song from the James Bond movie Skyfall, Anastasia put in a captivating performance. Not letting a couple of errors take away from the style of her performance, Anastasia finished overall in a respectable 17th position out of 33 competitors. A great start to the season, ultimately providing Anastasia with a strong platform to continue to grow and develop her performance as a skater.
