The Bracknell Adult Open has always been a very prominent event in the calendar and this year is no exception. Originally arranged as a two-day event, in recent years the competition was downsized to a one-day open and held in the same week as the main open. However, the growth in adult skating and its popularity over the past few years has resulted in oversubscription due to the increase in the number of adults participating in competition.
Therefore this year sees the two-day event return with singles and artistic classes being held on Thursday 26th March, and solo and couples dance classes on Friday 27th March.
The singles and artistic day sees a total of 83 entries, while for dance there are 47 entries. A number of skaters are entering more than one class with some competing on both days as a lead up to the Adult International in Oberstdorf. Bracknell Ice Skating Club pride themselves in organising a well-run and enjoyable event for all concerned and hope that this year will be no different.
