British junior figure skaters take silver in Andorra

Last weekend (20th to 23rd November) Great British junior figure skaters Katia Fedyushchenko and Lucas Kitteridge skated their way to a second place finish in the ISU International Open D’Andorra in Andorra.

Fedyushchenko and Kitteridge competed in the Junior Ice Dance programme of the international competition and finished with an overall score of 105.8, gaining them a Silver medal. They were only just behind Italian skaters Sara Ghislandi and Giona Terzo Ortenzi, who took Gold with 127.34 points.

Nick Sellwood, Chief Executive of the National Ice Skating Association (NISA) commented: “Katia and Luke did excellently in the competition at the weekend. They will be soon battling it out with other GB skaters to seek selection for the ISU World Junior Championships 2015 which will take place from 2nd -8th March in Tallinn, Estonia. Everyone at NISA will look forward to seeing how they all get on.”
