For the attention of all Members,
The NISA 2018 AGM took place at Jury’s Inn, Nottingham, on Saturday 24th November. With the sport of ice skating undergoing significant governance and structural change in the UK, a key item on the agenda was the election of NISA Members to positions on the Board and Technical Advisory Committees. This was done by postal ballot, with the results being announced on the day, alongside matters voted on by proxy ballot and in-person.
We are delighted to now have many dedicated, experienced and skilled Members in these positions, however, there are still roles to be filled to ensure that these groups can successfully operate, deliver support and drive the changes needed to continue the modernisation of the sport and the organisation. As it stands, these groups cannot fulfil their functions so it is vitally important that this process is initiated and given due priority so that exciting and positive developments for the sport can be advanced. These positions will take the form of casual vacancies, the term of appointment to last until the next AGM.
The Board is therefore inviting applications from Members to fill these casual vacancy roles, which can be done by completing and submitting the relevant application form below. These applications will be reviewed by the NISA Nominations Committee.
Such applications should be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org or to the NISA postal address at: Unit 4, Grains Building, High Cross Street, Nottingham, NG1 3AX to arrive no later than midday on 21st December.
For clarity, this process of filling positions with casual vacancies is separate to the appointment by the Board to the remaining TAC positions through an application and interview process as per the Terms of Reference. That process will be undertaken once the casual vacancies have been filled in line with the required skills matrix of each TAC.
