With the British Figure Skating Championships just around the corner, NISA are delighted to announce that the process of re-branding as British Ice Skating will kick-off at the annual showpiece event.
Through the competition to design a logo befitting the new name and bright outlook, dozens of NISA members provided ideas and inspiration, from which the new logo emerged, as can be seen below. This was then circulated to a random sample of members from each area of the sport, as well as the Engagement Group, Board and Executive, garnering overwhelmingly positive feedback with descriptions such as "patriotic", "striking" and "eye-catching".
Linked to this, a new partnership with National Merchandise (Ice Locker) is being launched, giving members access to a much broader range of merchandise with this new logo, both for events and general kit. This will go live on Monday 26th November 2018, at which point the weblink and further information will be shared though our channels. A sample of the items available are shown below, and these will be available to buy at the Championships, future events, and online.
The Gala at iceSheffield on Saturday 1st December (19:00-21:00), as well as celebrating the 'Best of British' from across the Ice Skating world, will be a fantastic opportunity to showcase the new logo and image of British Ice Skating, as we move forward with a modern and progressive identity.
Further changes will follow, including to the website and printed materials, over the coming weeks and months.*
We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at the British Figure Skating Championships and Best of British Gala - keep your eyes open for more exciting communication about the stars taking part!
(*Note: NISA will be "Trading As" British Ice Skating, so any documentation with 'NISA' on remains valid, but will be phased out over time)
