Fantastic four do GB proud at ISU World Junior Figure Skating Championships

Last week, four of Britain’s brightest skating talents competed at the ISU World Junior Figure Skating Championships.

The team (pictured) performed excellently, qualifying for the Free Dance/Skate in every category.

In the Ice Dance, Sasha Fear and Elliot Verburg scored a brilliant 121.40. Congratulations to them for the high score and for finishing in 15th place in Taipei. Sasha and Elliot have enjoyed a hugely succesful debut season together and will be hoping they can build upon their great scores moving forward.

In the Ladies, Kristen Spours skated fantastically to also finish in 15th place. Kristen has enjoyed an amazing skating season, achieving consistent high scores throughout the year and being crowned British Junior Ladies Champion.

British Junior and Senior Men’s Champion, Graham Newberry, continued his great form, scoring a huge 191.78 and finishing in 15th place in the Men's. Graham will be setting his sights on next month’s World Figure Skating Championships where he will be hoping for a similarly strong skate.

A massive congratulations to all of our skaters who did themselves and Great Britain proud at the prestigious competition.
