The countdown is on for Women's Sport Week, which runs from 19th - 25th June.
Women's Sport Week is a fantastic opportunity for sports to get more women, more active, through the promotion of female-friendly events, clubs and initiatives designed with women in mind.
If you already have a female session running, such as mums- or women-only ice skate class, there's no better chance to shout about it.
Or, you can run a free taster event to get more women on the ice. Host a TRYDay, a free trial session designed just for women and girls - we'll help you promote it.
A TRYDay is what it says on the tin. Host a free session where women turn up and try out a brand-new activity, in a positive and inclusive environment.
You can download, edit and print WSNET’s Activ8 Ice Dance poster, encouraging female skaters to bring friends and family along to your TRYDay.
It couldn’t be easier to promote your events, sessions and clubs with a great new tool to help get more women more active.
HerMojo is a totally free service where clubs can register their events, so that women and girls can easily find them in your local area. Register your events/classes with HerMojo today.
You can even organise a fundraising event off the ice to help engage more women in sport. Women in Sport offer a great toolkit with tips and ideas.
If you’re banging the drum for female engagement in sport, or plan to, don’t forget to let us know as well.
We’d like to see even more women and girls giving ice skating a try this summer. That’s why we’d love to hear about and help you promote your female sessions, clubs and events. Get in touch here.
