Icicles looking to make their mark at ISU Junior Worlds

The ISU World Junior Synchronized Skating Championships 2018 are taking place in Zagreb, Croatia, this week, a fantastic opportunity for the Nottingham Icicles to show just how well they have been skating!

Huge congratulations go to the Icicles Junior Team, part of Nottingham Synchronised Skating Academy.  There has been great competition at Junior level Synchronized Skating in the UK in recent times, which is fantastic news for the sport and for NISA.

The Icicles have just returned from the Budapest Cup, where they secured a hard fought 2nd place out of 9 teams from across the globe.

They also recorded a team personal best ISU score of 114.92 (the short programme scoring 39.60 and the long 75.32). The team are especially proud of this achievement as the scores were very closely aligned to the British Championship score of 115.88.

The long programme, a Michael Jackson medley, proved to be a real crowd pleaser with the audience clapping along enthusiastically to the music.

The team are now looking forward to the Junior World Championships on March 16th and 17th where they hope to again get the crowd bouncing and improve on their scores.

We all wish them well as they represent Great Britain on the world stage!
