Personal Best Hat-Trick for Buckland and Coomes at European Championships

Buckland and Coomes leave the 2016 European Figure Skating Championships with three new personal bests and finish in sixth place.

Today Buckland and Coomes returned to the ice for their final Free Dance. Skating to Exogenesis part 1 and Hurricanes and Butterflies by Muse, a terrific performance saw them score 98.49, beating their current personal best of 98.47.

Combined with their Short Dance personal best score of 64.26, Buckland and Coomes leave the 2016 ISU European Figure Skating Championships in sixth place and an overall score of 162.75 – yet again another personal best!

Nicholas Buckland said;

“We were thrilled to have been able to give such a strong performance – we love our free dance and this was the performance we couldn't give last season. It was lovely to have such great support from the Slovak audience too.”

Next for Buckland and Coomes will be training in preparation for the World Figure Skating Championships in Boston, USA in March.
