Sad News - Mr. David M. Dore

It is with deep regret to inform you that Mr. Dore passed away peacefully on April 8, 2016 in Ottawa at age 75. Mr. Dore was the 1st Vice President Figure Skating of the International Skating Union since 2002.

David was born on August 9, 1940 in Toronto, Canada and started skating as a young boy and became a Canadian medalist. Once retired he stayed heavily involved in the sport as a world and Olympic level judge and at club level.

In 2002, he received the International Olympic Committee’s highest honour, the Olympic Order and was inducted into Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame in 2008.

Mr. Dore is survived by his wife, two sons and 3 grandchildren.
