The role of Safeguarding Assistant is critical in promoting the welfare of children in Ice-skating and is a corner stone of NISA’s work. NISA are looking to recruit a suitable candidate who holds the relevant skills, qualities, knowledge and experience committed to Safeguarding.

This is a voluntary position. Any person wishing to apply for the role will need to be commit a significant amount of time to this role and travel to support safeguarding implementation, with an expectation of commitment amounting to the equivalent of a full time position.

The role will encompass a number of areas of work and will support the organisation in meeting the CPSU intermediate standards.   The person suitable for the role will have the skills and knowledge to cover the following areas of work:

  • Implementation of Safeguarding Procedures and Systems
  • Prevention work within a Safeguarding Environment
  • Safeguarding Education and Training
  • Advice and support
  • Management of Low level Safeguarding Concerns
