Great Britain’s Hugh Brabyn-Jones has taken second place at the Triglav Trophy, in Slovenia, over the weekend, 16th – 19th April 2015.
The Triglav Trophy is an annual international figure skating competition. Each year, novice, junior and senior level skaters compete in Slovenia, at what is usually the last ISU international competition of the season.
Representing Great Britain in the Junior Men, Hugh scored a total of 140.76 points and was awarded second place, narrowly behind South Korea, with 148.13 points.
Hugh said: “I am really happy to have been awarded second place at the Triglav Trophy, and am pleased that my hard work has paid off. Getting to the Olympics is my ultimate dream, and it gives me great confidence when I leave a competition with positive results and feedback.”
Hilary Selby, NISA Performance Director, said: “On behalf of NISA, we would like to congratulate Hugh on his recent achievement at the Triglav Trophy in Slovenia. To be awarded second place is a great achievement, and a step in the right direction towards his Olympic dreams.”
