Top Ten finishes in every category at Challenge Cup

Congratulations to our brilliant GB skaters who enjoyed top ten finishes in every category at the Challenge Cup in The Netherlands this weekend.

In the Senior Men’s, British Junior and Senior Champion Graham Newberry (pictured) narrowly missed out on a podium position, skating strongly to to fourth place after scoring 191.06 among fierce competition. Former British Junior Champion Harry Mattick also scored highly, finishing just behind Graham in fifth place.

British Junior Ladies Champion Kristen Spours came in tenth place in a highly competitive Senior Ladies category at The Hague.

GB had strong skates in the Junior Men’s too, with James Horrocks finishing just outside the top three in fourth place. Aberdeen’s Ruaridh Fisher also skated well to sixth place in The Netherlands.

In the Advanced Novice Men’s, Edward and Elliot Appleby performed well, finishing in fourth and sixth place respectively.

Well done to Jasmine Cressey who enjoyed a top ten finish in the Basic Novice A Ladies, finishing in seventh place in a closely fought contest. Aoife Stevenson came in twelfth place in the category following a good skate.

Congratulations to all our skaters for performing well at the competition.
