Young Stars 2017 set to be big summer hit

A brand new event for young Singles Skaters from Beginner - Level 3 is set to be a big hit this summer.

Young Stars 2017 will run at Icesheffield from 29th - 31st August, seeing many young skaters flock to show off their skills in the rink.

The event is designed to introduce young skaters to competition with NISA, in a supportive, fun and encouraging environment.

Throughout the competiton Master Classes will also be running, both on- and off-ice, to help with basic skating techniques, fitness and skating equipment.

Skaters can make the most of the classes, which are free to all competitors, by following a booking process to ensure safety and number regulation - information to follow in the coming weeks.

Podium-place medals will be up for grabs, and we're also pushing the boat out to recognise skaters with the most creative and entertaining routines with ad hoc 'Spot Prizes'.

We'll have an eye out for talented skaters of the future too, but the primary aim of the event is to give everyone a rewarding and enjoyable experience.

To inspire skaters even more, a second competition, which will carry forward scores from Young Stars 2017, is planned. Here, the skaters who are most improved will be recognised and rewarded at the end of the season.
