A squad of ten GB skaters travelled to Hungary to compete at the Budapest Trophy. There was representation across the competition in the Senior & Junior Women’s, Senior & Junior Men’s and Ice Dance Senior.
Freddie Leggott just missed out on a podium place in the Junior Men’s as he finished 4th with a score of 146.03. Graham Newberry managed a score of 202.34 for a 5th place finish in the Senior Men’s.
Elena Komova had a busy weekend as she competed in both the Junior and Senior Women’s. Her score of 130.02 left her in 6th place in the Juniors, and a score of 139.05 was good enough for 12th place in the Seniors. Kristen Spours finished four places higher in 8th thanks to a score of 152.36. Nina Povey was awarded 119.65 to finish in 17th.
Genevieve Somerville came 19th in the Junior Women's with a score of 92.80.
Ice Dance couple Sasha Fear George Waddell, following their 11th place finish at the Nebelhorn Trophy, scored 160.48 to complete a top 5 finish. The second GB couple in the event, Eleanor Hirst & Anthony Currie, finished 9th after being awarded 114.19.
