The Special Olympic National Winter Games were held in Folgaria, Italy last month, with Great Britain represented by a determined and passionate team of skaters.

The Results:
Jennifer Gibson competed in the level four ladies category and managed to pick up a gold medal in her free programme.
Stephanie Gott skated her heart out on the ice show winning 2 gold medals the Level 3 ladies and level 2 dance events.
Jenny Lee and Callum Mille won a gold medal in the level 1 pairs event, Jenny also won a silver medal in level 3 ladies category. Callum Mills, took home the gold medal in the level 1 dance event, and came home with the silver medal in the level 3 men’s event.
Meg McFarlane finished in first place in the level 1 dance event and finished with a bronze medal in the level 3 ladies competition. Oliver Snook skated his way to a gold medal in the level 3 men’s event. Megan Cassidy took home a gold medal in the level 2 ladies competition. Nikki Sibeon showed great resilience, overcoming a rough fall at the start of her programme to skate her way to top spot and to win the level 1 ladies event. Also taking home a silver medal in the level 1 dance event. Jonathan Clutterbuck skated with great performance skills and secured the level 1 men’s event on top of the podium.
