We're looking for volunteers to help us develop our approach to inclusive ice skating competitions!

Through the Let’s Skate project and the hard work of many clubs, organisations and individuals across the UK, the disabled skating community is growing as increasing numbers of disabled people discover, continue with, or return to ice skating. British Ice Skating is committed to making our sport accessible to allow as many people to participate as possible, and we’re keen to ensure our growing disabled skating community feels heard as we continue to evolve what we offer them.
We’re consequently excited to announce that we will be introducing an Inclusive Competitions Working Group. This group of individuals will provide a point of contact for feedback, discussions and projects relating to ice skating competitions for disabled people in the UK.
The group will be made up of individuals who have a disability and/or are an active coach, official, or judge.
Applications are now open for positions on the Inclusive Competitions Working Group - you don't need to hold BIS membership to apply or be a part of the group. To apply, please complete our online application form:
Please note: We want the Inclusive Competitions Working Group to represent a wide range of perspectives and experiences, so selection decisions may be made to ensure membership includes individuals from different disciplines, regions and backgrounds.
If you have any questions about the Working Group or the application process, please get in touch with us at LetsSkate@iceskating.org.uk
Applications close 12pm Monday 28th April
