Recruiting Now: Be a Part of the 2026 European Figure Skating Championships


In 2026 Sheffield will host the ISU European Figure Skating Championships, delivered by British Ice Skating in partnership with Sheffield City Council and UK Sport.


It will be the highest profile figure skating event to be staged in the country for over a decade, and we are now looking for a number of individuals to join the organising team and help us deliver a fantastic Championships!




Local Organising Committee

We are looking for volunteers to form our Local Organising Committee (LOC), responsible for event areas including ice volunteers, presentations, VIP, hospitality, skater support, logistics, spectator experience, communications and media, social impact and legacy programmes, plus some skating-specific technical aspects of the event.

Further opportunities to volunteer including team leader roles will be available in due course; there

may also be an opportunity for LOC members to join other groups.

Communications & Marketing Coordinator

We are looking to recruit a Communications & Marketing Coordinator for the event, responsible for the delivery of effective communications and strategic stakeholder engagement that will be core to the event’s success. With the support of the BIS Communications team and with direction from the Championships Steering Group, the Communications and Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for the planning and execution of all communications, marketing and promotions in relation to the Championships.


Fixed Term Contract: Approx. 18 months (Part time)

Up to £35,000 per annum, pro rata

Hybrid Role: Remote & Sheffield

Flexible working hours (Approx 20 hours per week)
