Niall Treacy (Mohawks), Holly Hoyland (NIRC) and Charlotte Hayward (Mohawks) are raring-to-go with the ISU Short Track World Championships 2023 just around the corner. This year, they are being hosted in Seoul, South Korea and will be highly anticipated since Seoul was supposed to host in 2020 but the championships was cancelled due to COVID.
The action kicks off on Friday 10th and finishes on Sunday 12th of March, this will be Niall and Charlotte’s Worlds Debut while Holly will be returning to Worlds trying to improve on her 24th place finish's last season.
Holly Hoyland commented “Thrilled to be selected to represent Great Britain at these World Championships in South Korea. I am hoping to improve on my individual performances from last time too.”
Niall Treacy comes off a season of consistent improvement on the World Cup circuit; a PB in a the 1000m and a 7th place finish “After missing out on three previous occasions due to covid, I am even more motivated and excited to compete at the 2023 World Champs.”
Charlotte Hayward spoke about making her debut at a World championship “I cannot wait to compete at my first World Championships, I am really looking forward to the experience.”
