Slough Adult Development Camp: All You Need To Know!

On 19th-20th March our dedicated Adult Development Camp will be taking place at Slough Ice Arena!


Focused on the needs and interests of adult skaters, with both on and off ice sessions designed to boost your training, hone your skills, and help you reach your next skating goals.


Full camp information can be found below. Spaces are limited to ensure effective skater to coach ratios, so book soon to avoid missing out!






 

When & Where?

Wednesday 19th and Thursday 20th March. Days will run from 08:15 to 16:00 (provisional timetable below).

Slough Ice Arena  Montem Lane, Slough, SL1 2QG.


Who Can Attend?

The camp is open to ice dance and singles skaters over 18 who are currently at a Skate UK Star Bronze level or above, including non-BIS members. It's particularly suited to:

  • Skaters looking to gain confidence and boost their learning trajectory in a friendly environment.

  • Skaters thinking about starting to compete.

  • Skaters wanting to hone their skills to reach new competitive goals.

  • Skaters wanting to spend some quality skating time with like-minded people!


Groups at the camp will be divided up by experience levels to enable moderators to pitch your learnings at the right level.


Who Will Be Coaching Me?


On-Ice Coaches

Kathryn Hudson OLY

Kathryn is a Level 4 International Pair Coach & Level 3 International Figure Coach with over 30 years of coaching experience having had skaters compete at Youth Olympics, Junior Worlds, Junior Grand Prix’s & European Championships. As a skater herself Kathryn was British Junior & Senior Pair Champion & represented Great Britain at many International events including Europeans, Worlds & Olympics. Kathryn has worked on T.V projects such as Dancing on Ice & The making of an Ice Princess as well as participating & leading on many camps both at home and abroad.

 

Keith Hudson

Keith is British Ice Skating Skate UK lead, Development Officer & Level 4 International Ice Dance Coach with over 30 years of coaching experience. Keith has worked on various TV projects such as Dancing on Ice, How to make your body better (Davina McCall) & Cadburys Heroes (YouTube) with Mark Wright & Zoe Hardman (Heart Radio) as well as participating & leading on camps for British Ice Skating and many others alongside Kathryn both at home & abroad.

 

Ursha Chavda

Ursha is a Level 2 BIS coach and has been coaching for over 10 years, teaching beginners, recreational and competitive skaters. Ursha loves to teach all ages and abilities, helping skaters to achieve their personal goals.

 

Off-Ice Coach

Peter Christmas-Kjaer

Peter is three-time Danish National Champion in figure skating, with a background in Sport Science from the Danish Sports Federation and Development Psychology from Copenhagen University. Peter is a Level 2 coach and is passionate about athlete development and performance. He will be leading our off ice sessions including proprioception, agility, conditioning and plyometrics to boost your skating skills off the ice.

How Do I Book?

Bookings need to be made and paid for via Sport:80 - the cost to attend is £150 per person.

Bookings will close 12pm 14th March
