We're pleased to share news about British Ice Skating’s first funding pot available exclusively to Short Track clubs!
This fund has been established to support our affiliated Short Track clubs with their growth and sustainability, to help them to continue providing the best possible environment for short track skaters in the UK. Awards of £300-£2000 are available, and clubs can apply for more than one project at a time. See the funding brief for details on what can be applied for and how:
We know that recovering from Covid has impacted clubs' financial situations, and increasing energy costs have seen ice time grow in cost, and we're keen to help support the fantastic work our Short Track clubs and coaches are doing. Funding bids can be made for a wide variety of projects, including (but not limited to):
• Buying equipment. • Introducing or planning additional camps. • Covering the cost for coaches to engage with coach development and learning opportunities. • Engaging with or providing opportunities to communities who are underrepresented in Short Track and British Ice Skating pathways. (For more information please visit our EDI page). • Increasing visibility of Short Track within your local area and rink.
If you have any questions please or would like some advice on a project or application, please feel free to contact Andrew Hibberd: Andrew.Hibberd@iceskating.org.uk
