Vacancy - Skate UK Development Officer

Salary: £22k to £24K pro rata via Sport England Funding

Duration: 1 year contract

Location: Flexible, 1 or 2 days (to be agreed) attendance at the British Ice Skating Office, English Institute of Sport (Sheffield) will be required

Normal Working Hours: Part time (3 days per week)

Closing Date: 17:00 on 10th February 2022

Interviews: week of 14th February 2022

Start date: Due to business imperatives, the successful candidate will be required to start in post without delay


Job Description

Following a successful Sport England grant British Ice Skating, the National Governing Body for ice skating in the UK, is seeking to expedite the appointment of a Skate UK Development Officer, on a 12 month contract to work on the development, implementation and roll out of our New Skate UK project in its entirety.


This exciting opportunity in a Winter Olympic sport will involve working with the Skate UK Development Officer Lead and Manager to deliver British Ice Skating’s Skate UK pathway with new digital innovation to grow the sport from the grass roots level. This will include the continued development and implementation of pathway standards at all levels of the pathway. The role will involve working closely with Home Nation countries, coaches, officials, management, administrative staff, and Technical Advisory Committees.
