Ahead of the election for the new Vice Chair of British Ice Skating, the candidates below have been validly nominated in line with the articles of association (the “Articles”).
Ahead of the election and in accordance with Article 20.1.1, the Nominations Committee has carried out a comprehensive review of all proposed candidates against the above-mentioned skills-based role description and person specification, in respect of the Vice Chair position, together with its matrix of the Board’s actual and required skillset.
Members and affiliates are now invited to vote for their preferred candidate.
Your completed and manually signed Postal/Electronic Ballot Form must be sent to arrive as early as possible but no later than 12 noon on Monday 17th May 2021 - Please see form/s for details of where and how to return these.
Completed and signed forms must also be clearly marked: ‘PRIVATE AND CONFIDENTIAL – POSTAL/ELECTRONIC BALLOT FORM’ when returning them.
The results of the Postal/Electronic Ballots will be declared at the BIS 2021 General Meeting.

In accordance with Article 20.1, all director positions shall have both a skills-based role description and a person specification set out by the Nominations Committee and endorsed by the Board and the role description and person specification for the Vice Chair position has been available on the BIS website since the publication of the Advance Notice of the GM. It can also be accessed via the link here.
In line with its duties under the Articles, the Nominations Committee hereby advises the Voting Members that the candidates highlighted above meet all requisite requirements under both the role description and person specification to stand for election as the new Vice Chair of British Ice Skating.
