Today marks three weeks to go until the British Solo Ice Dance Championships begin in Sheffield.
We’re pleased to be rolling out a series of changes here at NISA. We’ve opened new roles, altered our governance structure and introduced an essential Audit Committee.
In ISU Communication 2097 (published 13th June 2017), were details of the decisions taken by the ISU Council at the meeting on June 2nd-4th in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Included were those regarding the Minimum Total Elements Scores for the Figure Skating Championships 2018 and the Olympic Winter Games 2018.

Dance Couples Try out Session
During the 2017 British Solo Dance Championships 2017 we will be holding a Dance Couples Try Out Session. This session will take place on Saturday the 15th of July at 5.30pm – 6.30pm (immediately following presentations0. We hope to have many Boys and Girls at this session. If you wish to attend please email Kirstie at firstname.lastname@example.org to request an attendees questionnaire in order for the officials to be best placed to help match skaters.
Solo Dance Championships Basic Novice Pattern Dances.
The tempo for the American Waltz is 66 measures of 3 beats per minute and 198 beats per minute. Skaters using their own music are allowed a tolerance of +/- 3 beats per minute.

Advanced Novice: #3 Rocker Foxtrot (4 seq.) and #9 Starlight Waltz (2 seq.)

We have received a provisional confirmation that the 2020 Junior World Synchronized Skating Championships will be held in Nottingham.
